each panel applied on the black ground with polychrome bone and ivory figures of maidens variously occupied on the terraces of a continuous lakeside garden, above applied groups of precious objects, the details painted in gilding and colours, all within mother of pearl inlaid borders
each panel 182.5 cm high, 40.5 cm wide
Condition Report
Isolated chips and losses to the lacquer, particularly to the outside edges. Wear and 'rippling' to the gloss finish of the lacquer in places. Inlay complete, with no apparent losses. Tarnishing to brass mounts on the feet. Structurally sound.
