Smith & Singer consign premium jewels and watches that attract discerning Australian and international buyers. Three tightly curated auctions are conducted each year that feature diamonds, coloured stones and pearls alongside antique, modern and contemporary jewellery and luxury and vintage watches. These auctions present highly sought-after examples of the artistry and craftmanship of leading international jewellery houses such as Bulgari, Cartier, Graff, Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co. and Van Cleef & Arpels alongside watches by brands such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Omega, A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Patek Philippe.

Our team of experienced and highly qualified specialists based in Melbourne and Sydney work with vendors to realise outstanding prices for the exceptional jewels and watches entrusted to us. Recent highlights include a 14.44ct diamond ring that sold for $128,864, a limited edition ‘Le Cirque Animalier’ wristwatch by Cartier that sold for $110.455, an 18ct white gold, diamond, emerald and onyx ‘Dame à la Panthère’ necklace by Cartier that sold for $85,909, a 12.02ct diamond ring that sold for $392,727, a platinum, gold, emerald and diamond ring by Van Cleef & Arpels that sold for $231,800, an 8.88ct fancy yellow diamond ring that sold for $110,455, the 18ct gold, black sapphire and diamond ‘Stella’ necklace by Stefano Canturi for Canturi, 2015, that sold for $159,545, a platinum and diamond bracelet by Cartier, circa 1925, that sold for $125,000 and an 18ct gold, pearl and diamond demi-parure by Van Cleef & Arpels, circa 1990, that realised $245,455. We also regularly set record prices for the auction of watches – in 2017 a Rolex Daytona 'Paul Newman' wristwatch, circa 1970, realised an auction record for a watch in Australia at $219,600, and in August 2022 a Patek Philippe Celestial astronomical wristwatch sold for $202,500 – the highest price achieved for a watch at auction in Australia that year.
