This painting is sold with an accompanying Papunya Tula Artists certificate which reads in part: 'This painting is inspired by the Tingari ceremonies associated with a site in the Kintore Ranges, west of Alice Springs, called Tjikarnga...In this case the roundels are said to denote the waterholes (or holes) at the site. The adjacent loop shapes are the 'Kanala' or ceremonial teaching area'.
