The accompanying documentation reads in part: 'This painting depicts Mindil Country and shows Gularabun, an important waterhole that is situated in the Great Sandy Desert. The people believe that the Dreamtime Kangaroo Ancestors that lived in the desert dug all the waterholes. The wiggly lines are sand dunes, which help the men find the waterholes. These waterholes are used to collect water and help the people survive that lived there'.
