The 1957 Hydra-Glide was the very last of the rigid framed Panheads and has the charismatic and classic look that has secured so many motor cycle riders to become completely devoted to its style and riding pleasure. In recent times machines in the condition as the one presented are being affectionately referred to amongst collectors as barn finds. Real barn finds are a rarity and this motorcycle is just that. It has a story as interesting as the patina and build-up of dust and oil that comes with it. The bike offered here is a classic one owner, time capsule. The original owner bought the bike new in 1957 and just got too to ride it after tipping over in the drive way he simply rode it into the garage, prepared it for storage and walked away.

That was in 1972. In 2009 this wonderful Panhead was purchased brought to Australia where it remains untouched. The engine having been oiled and turned over regularly during those 27 years, it has not been started since it was last ridden. This 1957 Hydra-Glyde is one of a production run of as few as 164. The Supersport Solo 74 cubic inch is an OHV V twin with 4 speed foot-shift transmission. A true survivor throughout the years, inspection is bound to draw out a real motorcycle lover to appreciate not just for its rarity in terms of production numbers but for the opportunity it presents a collector looking for an untouched original machine.
