Reputedly the table came to the vendors family (Mrs Grant Campbell) by descent from her aunt, Elsie Dora Fairfax, nee Cape born 17/1/1874. Elsie Dora Cape married Harold Walter Fairfax at St Johns, Woollahra, 5/9/1900.
