the pattern 'Three Carytid Children in the style of Louis XVI ', probably modelled by Bouret, the supporting central columns finely modelled as rococo child herms, supporting nine scrolling arms with applied leaves terminating in fluted urn candle sockets, each supported on pierced circular bases with fruiting vines, in turn supported on three lion paw feet surmounted by acanthus leaves and an ovoid cartouche, bearing the crest of Henri II de Gontaut, Marquis de Biron, marked to underside "Christofle', Christofle stamp and bearing the serial numbers '882741' and '882742' respectively
