the upper display shelf of each framed by shaped aprons pierced with a frieze of angular stylised kui dragons, above a pair of doors each with two recessed panels, the upper panels carved in relief with medallions enclosing a pair of phoenix beside peony and lingzhi, the lower carved with rectangular panels enclosing a pair of song birds and similar plants, the doors fitted flush and opening to reveal a single shelf on the interior, the separate stand waisted above short cabriole legs with shaped apron, baitong lock fittings
