having scrolling line inlaid mahogany swan neck pediment with brass appliques surmounting the hood, the painted dial with black Roman numerals, subsidiary second dial and arched date aperture, flanked by coloured sprays of flowers and surmounted by a Loch scene, inscribed 'John Bower Kirriemuir' the trunk with arching door, supported on a stepped base terminating in bracket feet
