the circular ormolu mounted top fitted with a large porcelain plaque, the central circular reserve emulating a cameo, depicting Bacchus on a light blue ground, the outer border finely painted depicting fruits, having a plain frieze, supported on a central tapering column terminating in four down scrolling ormolu mounted feet, the porcelain plaque signed to verso 'Monginot fecit 1833 Boulevard des Italiens No 20.'
