cast from recycled aluminium cans, one chair with Central Foundry cast integrated plate to underside of seat, series 1, inscribed '222' and dated 'April 1988', the second an integrated plate, signed '381', dated and inscribed 'B Sayer / 23.7 92 / 381; the mirror stamped the G'day company cast logo

Brian Sayers and Christopher Connell, the designers of the 'G'Day' chair were migrants to Australia and they set up the 'G'Day chair Company in Queen street, Woollahra. The chair depicts an interpretation of Australian culture and was launched in 1988, Australia's bicentennial year
