possibly huanghuali, each of elegant form with a shaped crestrail above an S-form central splat, the side posts continuing through the moulded frame, enclosing a hardwood seat, above plain shaped aprons beaded at the front, the legs of circular section joined by stretchers

Condition Report

One chair - a small area approx 1.5cm of surface scratches to the right front leg. A small repair to the right lower edge of the back splat approx 9cm long where narrow piece replaced along the edge. Second chair - Some infill on join of back splat to crest rail and small gaps in the join of the back splat to the seat. Chip to the base of the rear left leg. Otherwise generally good condition
