of stoutly potted baluster form, the octagonal sides painted in coloured enamels and underglaze blue with alternate rising and descending dragons in iron-red, yellow, blue and green among scattered clouds, all between a band of lappets around the base and a continuous foliate scroll around the shoulders, inscribed with a six-character mark in underglaze blue within a rectangular panel below the short straight mouth mounted in metal
