carved with a goose in flight swooping down among intertwining stems of lotus leaves and flowers and saggitaria, growing from incised waves, in pierced and high relief within the plain oval border, the stone of even pale tone with a small opaque inclusion at the edge, mounted in gilt metal as a belt clasp, the back plate with engraved floral scrolls and fitted with a gilt metal strap

Condition Report

Small chips and frits around the edge of the gilt mount, some infilled with glue. Very small frit/chip to the upper edge of the tip of a lotus petal on one flower and two petals on the other. Some wear to gilding and discolouration on the reverse. Otherwise good condition.
