The form of this vase from the Song Dynasty was first revived by the Yongzheng emperor and covered with Song inspired glazes. CONDITION Fine hairline crack over mouth rim approx 2cm. Some wear and surface scratches, a small glaze frit approx 1mm., below raised band around the body, some bubble pitting. A chipped area extending approx 10cm around footrim and four other chipped areas on footrim some painted with pigment An area on the exterior of the foot approx 3cm by 1.5cm where glaze chipped off and covered with dark pigment.
