the ovoid glass body hobnail cut, plain scroll handle, the cover and neck mounts chased with flowers and foliage and foliate finial, the cartouche below the lip with inscription 'Presented by H.R.H's the Prince & Princess of Wales to James Cross on his retirement, after upwards of 38 years as steward 14 May 1892'; together with a late Victorian cut glass and silver mounted claret jug, John Grinsell and Sons, London 1896, oval cut glass body, the mounts and handle chased with flowers, ribbons, foliage and scrolls

the first claret jug has minor nicks to edge of foot and minor wear and surfaces scratches; the second jug has a chip to foot (approx.1.5cm lwide) and surface wear consistent with age and use.
