This is a fine example of one of the great motor bikes of the 'Roaring 20s'.  Its current owner purchased this 1,000cc Indian Chief in a poor state in 1979.  As part of its restoration, the bike was repainted its original DuPont colour for the year with all parts sandblasted and primed.  The petrol tank has had a complete professional restoration and all guards professionally repaired and painted.  Wheel rims have been sandblasted and powder painted whilst all relevant parts have been re-plated.  Dewar's Performance Engines in Victoria completely reconditioned the engine.  The bike as a new top quality leather seat and the headlight reflector has been polished and silvered.

A matching Dusting Standard Tourer Sidecar manufactured in Melbourne accompanies this Chief. Painted in original black/indian red with silver stripe the sidecar has, like the bike been restored to original condition.
