the arched top with a moulded cornice above a pierced fretwork panel above an arched glazed door flanked by plain columns with brass mounts, with pierced carved sound frets to either side above a long door and cross-banded base with a stepped plinth, the 12 inch dial with a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, seconds subsidiary dial and date aperture, cast bronze cherub and crown spandrels, with a twelve tune selector in the form of a sunburst design, with an 8 day movement with twelve tunes playing on twelve bells and twenty three hammers, four repeat five pillar movement strikes the hour and plays selected tunes three times every third hour; 249CM HIGH'
