Bearing the diamond set initial 'B' the hinged compact opens to reveal a mirror and one lidded well, with two ruby cabochon set clasps, mounted in 18ct gold, hallmarked Sheffield, maker's mark PE, dimensions approximately 55 x 40 x 6mm, 71 grams.

PROVENANCE Formerly from the Estate of Elizabeth 'Betty' Trethowan (nee De Bernales) daughter of Claude De Bernales, legendary gold mining entrepreneur in Western Australia in the 1930s.
