The distinctive OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Mark II was produced between 1969 and 1972 with a few variations including one with an exotic dial and one in 18ct gold. The Speedmaster Mark II came with the same Lemania based movement as the Moonwatch, reference 145.022. This movement is Omega's calibre 861 and was in production from 1968 until around 1996 when it was succeeded by the calibre 1861 movement. The current model has a slate grey dial with a distinct racing flavour in a bold cushion-shaped case, recalling the 1970s.
