Catalogue Notes

In Greek mythology, naiades were water-nymphs who provided life and vitality to freshwater streams, rivers and wells. These mythological spirits which took the form of beautiful maidens inhabiting rivers and woods, drew strength from the water, and if the source dried up, they too would die. This timepiece model, Naiades, was created by Lalique in 1926 and was in production until 1947.
