of rectangular form, the rounded protruding top set on corner posts housing a pair of removable lattice work doors within a moulded frame, fitted at the centre with metal plates and lock receptacles and shaped pulls, opening to reveal the interior fitted with one removable shelf over two rectangular drawers with metal plates and pulls, all above a plain apron with rounded spandrels

This lot is sold with a Tomlinson Antique House certificate of antiquity, describing this cabinet as huanghuali and dating it to the Qing dynasty

Condition Report

The top, back, shelf panels, and drawer interiors made of hardwood. Some shrinkage gaps in the joins of the shelf panels to the borders, some gaps and infill in the side panel joins. The right corner post slightly warped resulting in a small gap between it and the door frame. Upper side panels with fine vertical cracks along the panel joins from top approx 20 cm each. Lock pin now missing. Generally presents well.
