Japanese made, serial number 72821, printed maker's label to interior inscribed with model and serial numbers, solid spruce top, solid bound burled mahogany body, gloss lacquer finish, twenty fret East Indian rosewood fingerboard with ornamental scroll mother-of-pearl inlay at twelfth position, burled mahogany headstock veneer with 'Alvarez Yairi' motif, twelve buttoned tuners, mahogany neck, round sound hole, abalone and ivoroid rosette, East Indian rosewood bridge, black plastic end pins with ornamental abalone inlays, three-band preamp system, black hard case with maroon interior, acquired on 13 March 1988
