The cut cornered rectangular modified brilliant cut diamond weighing 2.03 carats is claw set between colourless diamond set split shank shoulders, mounted in 18ct white gold, signed DRACAKIS, size L. The Vivid Yellow as 'Fancy Vivid' represents the highest saturation one can find in a colored diamond. They are an extremely rare geological phenomenon. About one in 10 million diamonds possess a color pure enough to qualify as fancy vivid. Yellow diamonds gain their color from nitrogen replacing carbon atoms in the diamond's structure. In the case of The Vivid Yellow, the stone's atoms absorbed an unusually high level of aggregated nitrogen, giving it a superbly saturated golden yellow color. Coloured diamonds come to market very infrequently. and when they do, they represent a great opportunity for top jewellery collectors. Accompanied by a GIA report numbered 1112103334, dated 10 September 2009, stating that the 2.03 carat diamond is natural fancy vivid yellow colour and VS2 clarity, and a Dracakis box.
