The 18ct gold pocket watch, white dial with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial, within an engine turned case initialled 'AP' to the reverse, internally engraved 'Arthur Proudlock for saving life Swansea disaster 1919,' serial number 2088/770, case number 175793, case, dial and movement signed, diameter 49mm. Formerly property of Arthur Proudlock, thence by direct descent to the present owners. Note: The Scottish Queen, a wooden oil launch, was wrecked on 21 December 1919 at Swansea Heads, Lake Macquarie.
