Japanese made, serial number 66529, printed maker's label to interior inscribed with model and serial numbers, solid cedar top, solid bound burled mahogany body, satin lacquer finish, twenty fret East Indian rosewood fingerboard with striped abalone and mother-of-pearl inlay at twelfth position, burled mahogany headstock veneer with single vertical maple stripe, 'Alvarez Yairi' motif inlay with abalone insert, six Pearloid buttoned tuners, mahogany neck, round sound hole, abalone rosette, East Indian rosewood bridge, black plastic end pins with ornamental abalone inlays, 'Yairi' signature embossed on lower bout, four-stage preamp system, black hard case with white interior, supplied by St Louis Music Co., St Louis, Missouri, on 18 August 1987
