the oval mirror within a white metal frame inlaid on the reverse with a jade 'spring water' plaque carved with a goose swooping down among intertwining stems of lotus leaves and flowers and saggitaria, growing from incised waves, all in pierced and high relief within the frame decorated with alternating shou characters and bats in relief, the handle mounted with a jade 'dragon' belthook

Condition Report

A small opaque area at the tip of one petal on the lotus flower at the edge of the plaque. A very minor nick on the upper edge of the dragon shaft on one side. The mirror somewhat degraded. Otherwise generally good condition.
