Smith & Singer (formerly operating as Sotheby’s Australia) is honoured to present Brett Whiteley: The Line of Beauty. This major loan exhibition will feature an extraordinary selection of paintings and sculptures from distinguished private collections, some of which have remained hidden from public view since they were first acquired.
Brett Whiteley remains one of the most influential figures within the history and development of Australian art, whose sensuous images of the human figure, together with the Australian landscape, flora and fauna, continue to enthral, educate and inspire. We warmly invite people to visit the exhibition and experience these remarkable examples from one of Australia’s finest creative practitioners.
Brett Whiteley: The Line of Beauty will be presented in Smith & Singer’s Sydney galleries from 24 February to 7 March 2020, 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday.
This exhibition can only be viewed in person. No works of art are for sale and proceeds from the exhibition and associated events will be directed to support The Brett Whiteley Studio.
