Important Australian Art from the Estate of the Late Ron Walker AC CBE

For the late Ron Walker AC CBE, an interest in and admiration for the finest historical, modern and contemporary Australian art was a logical extension of a life-long commitment to supporting, promoting and celebrating the talent of his fellow Australians.

Ron Walker was a highly respected and successful businessman, community leader and visionary who strove for excellence in his varied areas of interest that traversed business and sport to medicine and the arts.  Walker’s acumen, diligence, patience and connoisseurship is appropriately reflected in his art collection and its focus on procuring only the finest examples available.

Important Australian Art from the Estate of the Late Ron Walker AC CBE is a celebration of more than a single individual and the artists of whom are represented.  It remains a testament to the collaboration and journey of Ron and Barbara Walker and to the people that they met and welcomed to their home in the generous and productive spirit of elevating Melbourne to an international city.

Smith & Singer are honoured to be entrusted with Important Australian Art from the Estate of the Late Ron Walker AC CBE and to share the passion of an eminent Australian whose rich legacy continues to shape our future.
