Exceptionally strong results were achieved at Sotheby’s Australia’s August auction of Important Australian & International Art.  The sale featured a number of rare and significant works, many of which were offered to the market for the first time in several decades. Comprising 95 lots of art by leading practitioners, the sale achieved $6.26 million including buyer’s premium, or 75% by volume and 114% by value, with new auction records achieved for 6 artists.
