Sotheby’s Australia has set new auction records for Howard Arkley, Albert Namatjira, and Emma Minnie Boyd during its August 31 sale of Important Australian Art at the InterContinental Sydney. The highly successful sale, which also achieved the second highest price at auction for Arthur Streeton, realized $8.96 million and achieved clearance rates of 132% by value and 75.4% volume.
