Auction Announcement – MGA X ARTIST Fundraising Auction

May 24, 2022

SMITH & SINGER PRESENTS

MGA X ARTIST

It is our pleasure to present the e-catalogue for the Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) annual MGA X Artist fundraising auction on Tuesday, 31 May 2022 at Roc’s Jam Factory, South Yarra, Melbourne, with artwork donated by some of Australia’s leading photographic artists and collectors.

MGA has joined forces with these artists to share equally in the sale proceeds of their work, giving buyers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the sector.

Artists who have generously donated work for this auction include Hoda Afshar, Joanne Handley, John Gollings, Paula Mahoney, Petrina Hicks, Cyrus Tang and many more.  These works will be auctioned by Smith & Singer in collaboration with fine art auctioneer, Jon Dwyer.

The auction aims to raise funds that will support MGA and their exhibition programs as well as artists and their creative practice.  We would be delighted to see you in person on the night where you will be able to register for a Paddle to bid in the room.  Tickets are available by clicking on the Book Tickets link below. However, if you are unable to attend the auction in person on the night, Internet and Absentee Bidding options are also available via the online catalogue.

Smith & Singer are honoured to continue to support MGA in their ongoing mission to celebrate Australian photography.

For more information regarding this auction or to leave an Absentee Bid, please contact Anouska Phizacklea, Gallery Director, MGA, or Kerry Pryor, Development and Sponsorship Coordinator, MGA, details below.

Work purchased in this auction will not be subject to a Buyer’s Premium with 100% of the proceeds shared equally between the artists and Monash Gallery of Art.
